What vollat is built for
vollat is built for people who want to understand portfolio construction by doing it. Instead of starting with portfolio theory, users start with assets they recognize, choose an amount and an investment style, and then explore how a portfolio allocation can be structured.
The learning layer explains allocation, weights, risk, market regimes, rebalancing, adding money and re-optimization in the context of the user's own portfolio. The goal is comprehension, not a recommendation to buy a specific security.
How Q72 Capital fits in
Q72 Capital provides the portfolio optimization and validation engine used for vollat's portfolio calculations. vollat is the consumer interface and learning experience built on top of that technology.
The two products serve different use cases: Q72 Capital is professional portfolio technology; vollat translates portfolio logic into an education-first experience for consumers.
What vollat does not do
vollat is not a broker, does not hold investment capital, does not open securities accounts and does not execute orders. A portfolio shown in vollat is a model-based allocation for the user to understand and evaluate independently.
Current product status
vollat Free and vollat Pro are live as web apps. Free provides portfolio-building and learning tools within the current app limits; Pro adds paid tools for custom constraints, optimization and analysis.
Trading is not built into vollat. If a user decides to invest, execution still happens through a broker or bank chosen by the user.
